SummerArts Intermediates (8-10) WEEK-LONG PROGRAMS JULY 3-22 With one week programs, campers get a full camp experience. Focused arts programs give children an opportunity to explore while having an amazing summer camp. From camp fires to talent nights, this program rocks! While campers can come as day students, we strongly encourage the overnight program. Art Inc SA810-1A July 3-8, 2011 An amazing week of artistic enrichment! Intermediate campers will spend this week working on their drawing skills, painting technique and sculpture. Campers will use a broad range of media, including charcoal, graphite, acrylic, pastels and clay. Taught by our professional artists, this is a great way to explore the world through art. Campers who have taken art workshops before will be challenged to new levels and beginners will be nurtured along. Combined with our great traditional summer camp atmosphere this will be a week to remember! At the end of the week there will be a camp wide art show for family and camp. New Designer SA810-1B July 3-8, 2011 For all our new designers that want to explore art through computers this is a great program that will immerse Intermediate campers into the cool world of design. With our professional designer at the Creek, campers will explore graphic design and 3d posters. Alongside our great traditional summer camp atmosphere this is going to be a fun week with lots of new skills learned! At the end of the week there will be a camp wide art show for family and camp. GET IN THE ACT SA810-2A July 10-15 2011 This is a great chance to develop your acting skills. With awesome theatre professionals here, Intermediate campers will get the best instruction on how to act through improv skills, script work, collective collaboration and monologue techniques. Combined with our great traditional summer camp atmosphere, this week will give you everything you ever wanted in learning to perform. Come on up for the week of your life! At the end of the week there will be a showing for family and camp. VidKids 2011 SA810-2B July 10-15, 2011 Once again we are gearing up for another week of great film making. Vidkids is our week-long camp for Intermediate campers that want try their hand at film-making. Campers will spend the week creating their own short films with our professional film maker. SO COOL! Campers will also explore film equipment, filming techniques and making a team of new friends. Alongside our great traditional summer camp atmosphere this week will Creek up your creativity! At the end of the week there will be a premiere for family and camp.
Brave Beowulf SA810-3A July 18-22, 2011 This is our multidisciplinary camp, exploring theatre, puppetry, music, visual arts and more all around the story of Beowulf! This warrior, hero and slayer of monsters and dragons is a great subject for a camp that explores all the arts. Intermediate campers will spend this week exploring the myth and mystery of this great hero and even get to see the play and meet the designers of the Two Planks and a Passion Theatre production of Beowulf as adapted by Rick Chafe. The week will accumulate with a performance. Combined with our great traditional summer camp atmosphere this week will be a keeper! Frame 2 Fame SA810-3B July 17-22, 2011 Come join us for the week and ANIMATE! Learn how to make an object appear to move on its own. You will explore stop motion and claymation techniques and create some cool video animation. Alongside our great traditional summer camp atmosphere this week will get you talking for years to come! Kids who have animated before will learn new techniques and beginners will get all the guidance they need. At the end of the week there will be a premiere for family and camp.
