We begin our season with three single day programs to give campers a chance to try out an awesome program that will whet your appetite for more Ross Creek!

July 2------QuickDraw!                  SA8101A

This workshop is for those kids that want to add PIZZAZZ! to their drawing skills. This day will be full Quickdraw fun. You will learn lots of new drawing techniques and skills. You’ll enhance skills you already have or learn new ones!

July 3-------Batik Freak!                  SA8101B

Batik has been both an art and a craft for centuries. Using wax, dye and guidance from our artist you’ll see yourself creating the most beautiful works of art. This will be a day of fun and imagination.

 

FULL WEEK  PROGRAMS JULY 5-24

With one week programs, campers get a full camp experience.  Focused arts programs give children an opportunity to explore while having an amazing summer camp. From camp fires to talent nights, this program rocks!  While campers can come as day students, we strongly encourage the overnight program.

Culmination

Each one-week session ends with an Open House from 3:30 p.m. to approximately 4:30 p.m. Friday afternoon. This features the work of the Multi-Arts and Arts Focus programs.  Parents and friends are invited to celebrate many of the finished works and works-in-progress that the children have experienced during the week.

July 5-10

Culture Sculpture        SA8102A

Explore images of  sculpture from around the world and use it as a launching pad for your own wonderful 3D creations using clay and other media.  

Through the Lens        SA8102B

The world of photography, from traditional  to digital. This week you can build your  own simple camera and learn all about how to take great pictures and then how to use a darkroom. After you learn how to process photos traditionally, learn how to make digital pictures zing! Please  bring your own digital camera with cord.

 

July 12 – 17               

Comic Creations                      SA8103A

Join us for a week of comic madness. This is the week you’ll create your own comic, character and story. Through the guidance of our professional comic illustrator you’ll create some great work. You’ll explore drawing techniques that’ll have you illustrating great stuff. 

Born to Perform                      SA8103B

This week long workshop offers great instruction from professional artists. Throughout this week you will work on a mini production while also working on your improv, movement,  script and neutral mask techniques. This week will equip you with many skills. At the end of the week a performance for parents and camp will be held.

 

July 19-24

Frame to Fame!                        SA8104A

Come for the week and ANIMATE! Learn how to make a physically manipulated object appear to move on its own. You will explore stop motion and claymation techniques and create some cool video animation.

 

Pro Painter!              SA8104B

This one week workshop will focus on Landscape, Abstract & Cubism painting. This is a great opportunity to spend the week working with a professional artist and other like-minded friends. You will work on board and canvas explore mediums like oils paints, acrylics and pastels. This will be fun and boost your skills.
