Portfolio Program for Teens Sundays November 1-December 13
Over the years, Ross Creek Portfolio students have been accepted into the best BFA programs in the country including NSCAD, OCAD, Emily Carr and Guelph. Many received general and some received full scholarships. Now it’s your turn!

Special School and Homeschool Programs for Mik’Maq History Month
Ross Creek is honoured to have First Nations artist Dozay Christmas in residence for October at Ross Creek. We have openings for school and homeschool groups to come learn about Mi’kmaq and Maliseet culture and make art based on the petroglyphs and the legends of Glooscap. Click here to find out more

Ross Creek Centre for the Arts Open House November 1st 2009
Arts are now underway for fall at Ross Creek Centre for the Arts! On Sunday, November 1st 2009, join us in celebrating textiles and the harvest with Family Arts Sunday activities for all ages. Also in the galleries is Joanna Close’s new textile exhibit. All ages and talents are welcome to join us at Ross Creek from 12:00-4:30 pm to celebrate the harvest season with music, art, food, fun and friends! Admission is by donation, with a suggested donation of $5 per person or $15 per family. For more information and directions contact mail@artscentre.ca or 582-3842

Fall Open House Series:
Save the date for a fabulous Fall experience at Ross Creek. Our Open houses are lively and full of all kinds of art for all ages, with great themes and projects which change each session. With gardens to explore, art activities, treats, performing arts and more, these are days to make memories.
All open houses run from Noon to 4:30 pm with admission by donation (suggested donation $5 per person or $15 per family). For directions, please click here

Ross Creek Teen Council
Program staff is excited to invite interested teens to come together to form a new teen programming arm for Ross Creek. Meeting once a month, the group will develop new programs and events by and for teens, including mentorships, events, gallery shows and other programs. Resident theatre’s Artistic Director Ken Schwartz Awarded Artist Recognition award
On November 1st, 2008 Two Planks and a Passion Theatre’s artistic director Ken Schwartz was awarded one of five Established Artist Recognition Awards at the 3rd annual Creative Nova Scotia Awards gala held in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
The $5000 prize was awarded to Schwartz in recognition of his current artistic practice and his role in helping to establish the Ross Creek Centre for the Arts.
In accepting the award, Schwartz thanked the many artists with whom he has collaborated over the last 17 years, as well as partner Chris O’Neill, the executive director of the Ross Creek Centre, for giving Two Planks such a special place to create and present work.

The Ross Creek Centre and Two Planks and a Passion Theatre have been named one of the 101 things you Must do in Nova Scotia- we’re listed in Allan Lynch’s latest book Nova Scotia Book of Musts published by MacIntyre Purcell publishing.

Ross Creek Fellows celebrated
Novellist and playwright Ami McKay was named to the Chronicle Herald Honour Roll for 2008 for her play Jerome, produced at Ross Creek by Two Planks and a Passion Theatre.  Nat and Sue Tileston were also lauded for their work using photography in the border areas of Thailand and Burma, which recently had an exhibit at the Ross Creek RBC Community Gallery. Visual Artist Réné Pierre Allain recently opened  a group show: Border Crossings which included his new works in Japan through both the Kyoto City International Foundation and Cohju Gallery.
