Open Studio and Community Arts Days

Community Welcome Party! May 15 from 1-7 pm

We are thrilled to announce our first Ross Creek Welcome Day for our community and for new immigrant and refugee families. On Sunday, May 15, from 1-7, we hope you join us for a family fun day where we have a potluck supper, free art activities throughout the day, and pumpkin planting for our community and with new Canadians, along with live music by IDA RED and others. EVERYONE WELCOME!

Admission is pay what you can donation, with all proceeds to The Canning Area Interfaith and Community Refugee Support Group (in partnership with the Port Williams United Baptist Church) to help sponsor a refugee family to come to the Canning area.

In the fall, we’ll have a follow-up harvest day where people can come and get their pumpkins and some of our produce in time for Halloween!

Please email to let us know how you’d like to help out!

You can also donate here: and specify that you want to help us make these welcome days great!

These programs and others are just some of the ways that Ross Creek fulfills its mission of giving voice to Canadians through the arts. We are proud to connect with diverse members of our community and help them express themselves creativity. You can help us make this work happen by contributing money and/or time.

Admission is pay what you can, and if you can sign up ahead and let us know if you can bring something to the potluck, that would be fabulous!
