Ross Creek is launching a new arts festival in 2016 and is looking for proposals for new creation and volunteers to create this extraordinary event. Breaking Ground will link what is best about Ross Creek: excellence in programming for all ages, professional artist creation and community outreach, all connected to our landscape.

The festival opens on Canada Day and will be open to all ages. Throughout the four days there will be workshops for adults, for children, and for families, along with both formal and informal performance, lectures, films etc. There will be space for  camping on site.

Call for Volunteers:

To make this an amazon event, we need your help! We’re getting a great group together to help plan, coordinate and carry out the festival, and we want you! However much time, whatever your skills, we can use your help! Email to sign up.

Call for Submissions:

Professional Artists: Thanks to seed funding from a private donor, we are able to offer a  fee for professional artists presenting new works at the Breaking Ground Festival. We have those submissions and will announce the lineup shortly.

Communities:  The same generosity is also allowing us to work with communities for an innovative approach to community art, and we invite communities from across the Maritimes to submit proposals to bring a group collaboration in any discipline (or interdisciplinary) to the festival.
