We take young artists seriously.  We believe that they have a lot to offer and that we are lucky to have their energy and ideas working on behalf of the centre and the community.

We have many different ways to work with young artists.

We have an active youth council which guides us on programs for teens and ways to serve them at Ross Creek. The council meets once a month except in the summer. Email education@artscentre.ca to find out more.

We have a Counsellor in Training Program which gives young artists the experience of a lifetime. Click here to see more about that program and how to apply.

We work in tandem with the Duke of Edinburgh Awards  to encourage our young volunteers to gain their volunteer service and get incredible credit for it! By volunteering at our fall and spring programs, teens can work toward their bronze, silver and gold awards. We also welcome teens to come and finish their gold awards in the summer and one of our staff is a  DofE Award Holder.

We welcome young artists to do their coop terms for highschool or university as well and join us for either unpaid or paid internships.

To find out more, email education@artscentre.ca.
