Please note, while we outline here some of the goals of the specific academy, the academies are also all collaborative.  Students will have core disciplines and mentors while also being challenged to work with students in other disciplines. This creates a more open and creative cross-disiplinary dialogue and community of  young artists who can work in other artistic “languages.”

Specifics

July 29 – August 10, 2012


Are you driven as a young musician? Are you interested in being a professional performer, recording artist or maybe even a star!? Teen musicians of all musical styles and backgrounds who sing or play any instruments and want to learn more about their craft and the music industry will get two weeks of intense training and coaching on songwriting, performance, collaboration, studio and live recording basics as well as advanced workshops on creativity and listening. Led by  powerful musicians in today’s music industry, students are guaranteed to have an experience you will never forget. 


If you play any instruments you should bring them (including an electronic keyboard if you play one). All academy students are required at morning warm-up and should bring comfortable clothes.
