Impressive Improv (Theatre)
One thing Ross Creek knows is great theatre! This one-day workshop is for all young actors that want to sharpen their improv skills and theatre game techniques! Learn how to snap in and out of different characters at a moment’s notice, and spend the day working hard and laughing harder!
Divine Drawing (art)
This one day workshop is for those that want learn more about how to turn their doodles into masterpieces! You will learn great technical tricks to get your line, form and perspective looking great! You’ll enhance skills you already have and learn new ones!
Wind and Whirligigs (science and art)
Explore the science of what makes those cool whirligigs go, and make your own! Whimsical or witty, you get to engineer and build an amazing moving sculpture!
Tag It! (Urban Art)
A CRASH course in the best that Urban art has to offer is here at Ross Creek. Come on up and join us in this amazing workshop. This workshop will show you the basic techniques in painting, including the use of spray paints, stencilling and designing graphic fonts.
Solar Explorer (science and art)
Investigate solar power, how it works and ow to harness that incredible energy, and make your own solar powered invention that moves!
Sensational Sculpture (art)
Bring your work off the page! This sculpture workshop will have you working with clay and found objects to allow you to create some amazing works of three dimensional art.
Digital Photography (art)
Learn how to use your camera to take incredible pictures – and what all those buttons mean. From cellphones to DSLRs, you can take incredible photos that will be worth saving!
Sable Island Stories (science and art)
Sable island is the place of legends and horses, and now come with us as we make art inspired by the images and history of this incredible and unique place off of Nova Scotia’s shores. A day to be immersed in a place like no other!
Painting Passion (art)
This one day workshop is a wonderful crash course in using paint to make incredible art! Every student will take home their own masterpiece on canvas at the end of the day!
Story in a Day! (writing)
How to set, plan, build and finish your own extended story. This one day workshop will help you create atmospheric settings, memorable characters and gripping plots. This workshop will give you all the skills and inspiration you need to tell your story!
How much does camp cost?
All Day Camps are $65 each or $295 for all 5 days of fun.
What Time does camp Run?
Camp runs from 9 – 5
The Arts Bus runs during March Break and will travel throughout the Valley to make it easier for parents to get their children to Ross Creek. There are only 14 seats, so first come first served. Bus service is an additional $15 a day, regardless of whether taken both ways. Bus fills fast, so please call to check on bus availability.
Bursaries and Scholarships
We are pleased to offer full and half bursaries and scholarships for students who need financial aid. Bursary applications require letters of reference, so please apply early. Bursary decisions are made by a committee and are based on need and merit. We regret that we cannot give full bursaries to all students, but try to assist as many children and families as we can through the generosity of corporations, businesses, individuals and some schools.
