Abstract Express
Abstract art is a great program that gives young artists new ways of thinking about not just art, but the world! With guidance and games, this workshop will explore making abstract art through a number of media, and encourage you to explore line, pattern, and colour with hilarious inspiration from art history.

Wednesday

Young Architect
Have you ever wondered where architects get all their ideas? Have you ever wondered how they come up with skyscrapers, bridges, and interestingly-shaped buildings? Wonder no more! This workshop will show you how it is done. Build your own model, inspired by the craziest buildings in the world.

Drawing Studio

This is a workshop for those wishing to take their drawing skills to the next level. Working closely with our artist, you  will get hands-on experience, and explore the techniques of shading,  perspective, depth, and negative space to express yourself

Thursday

Manga Madness
Come for the day with ideas already started, or learn to develop them during your day. Our Comic pro will show you the best tricks for giving life to your stories and characters int eh Japanese style of comic illustration. You’ll learn how to add depth, dimension, and action to your projects. Meet other young comic artists and share your work with new friends who also have Manga madness!

Mosaic Workshop
Mosaics are an ancient art still being created in funky new ways around the world every day! With cool and colourful tiles, you’ll create your own mosaic to take home. This is going to be cracking good time. Come join us!

Friday

Urban Art
A crash course in the best that urban art has to offer is here at Ross Creek. Come on up and join us to learn the basic techniques of positive painting, including the use of spray paints, stenciling, and designing graphic fonts in approved spaces.

Screen Printer
This workshop will focus on screen printing techniques that will help you create and enhance posters, artwork, and more. You will explore the use of ink, screens and blocks. Our professional artist will help you create amazing pieces of work and show you how to do this at home!

All Day Camps are $60 each or $275 for all 5 days of fun.

Arts Bus
The Arts Bus runs during March Break and will travel throughout the Valley to make it easier for parents to get their children to Ross Creek. There are only 14 seats, so first come first served. Bus service is an additional $10 a day, regardless of whether taken both ways.  It is supported by O’Regan’s and  Clean Nova Scotia and The Ecology Action Centre. Bus fills fast, so please call to check on bus availability.

Bursaries and Scholarships

We are pleased to offer full and half bursaries and scholarships for students who need financial aid. Bursary applications require letters of reference, so please apply early. Bursary decisions are made by a committee and are based on need and merit. We regret that we cannot give full bursaries to all students, but try to assist as many children and families as we can  through the generosity of corporations, businesses, individuals and some schools.
