The Ross Creek Centre for the Arts is looking for innovative and creative individuals who care about arts in the community and who love rural living. We are delighted to offer the following paid positions (we also have many volunteer contracts in the summer):
OPEN Positions –
all employees of Ross Creek must have their own access to transportation

SUMMER (not only for students):
Counselors, Male and Female:
The Ross Creek Centre for the Arts are looking for 1 female camp counselor and 1 male camp counselor for the summer. This is a residential position. Accommodation and all meals provided. $300 per week. Requirements: College/university age (19+), Over night summer camp experience as staff, Standard First Aid CPR/AED C and Clean police check and C.A.R check. An arts background an asset but not required. Financial Officer: – FILLED
A college or university book-keeping or accounting student would gain incredible experience in preparing year end, non-profit accounting, payroll, tax, and other elements of making our operations run smoothly. A fun and fabulous summer job, this is perfect for someone with high attention to detail and ability to focus. Good public speaking and communications skills also important.
Visitor’s Services: – FILLED
Ideal for someone with good computer skills and great personality who is organized, loves the public and has a love for the arts and strong sense of community. You are our first public responder–our front line of welcome to audiences, families and artists. It is a great experience and you can make it better! Event planning, volunteer recruitment and coordination and box office are all part of your summer duties!
Camp Recreation Director: – FILLED
Have the summer of a lifetime. You love the arts, you love working with kids and making their summer the best EVER! Organizing and building on the traditions and both Ross Creek and the best of camp life, you will plan out a whole summer of great age-appropriate activities for our camp and public. ad for Recreation Director (WORD)
Centre Chef: – FILLED
Come and create magic in the kitchens of Ross Creek. Serving artists from around the world, kids from down the road and our theatre audiences, the centre’s chef is a primary ingredient in our success. We are looking for someone who is able to work with garden and grocer, and can work with an established menu for camps and innovate for artists. You must be able to accommodate allergies and other dietary or religious restrictions. Position runs from April 5 to October 1, with an option to extend. University and College Students encouraged to applying and we can work around school obligations.
Assistant Chef: Assistant Cook (Summer only) – FILLED
We need someone who will understand what the Ross Creek Centre for the Arts is, loves the idea of making a productive and beautiful garden and feeding people from it, likes cooking (for the fall) and wants to learn to pickle, preserve, freeze, etc. OK if they aren’t experts at gardening if they are looking for a new potential path and want to learn. PROGRAMMER (full-time, one year contract, potential for renewal):
DEPENDENT ON FUNDING
If you have a background in art education of any kind, have creative energy and love to work with a wide spectrum of our community, this might be the job for you! We are looking for someone who can help to run school, community, and artist programs at Ross Creek, who loves engaging the public and has humour, intelligence and a positive spark. Great organizational and computer skills essential, own transportation necessary and masters degree in arts ideal. Must be interested in facilitating the creativity in others!
