Figure-Drawing Workshop with Acclaimed Artist
Sara Hartland-Rowe Sept 30-Oct 2, 2016
This 3-day workshop at the Ross Creek Centre for the Arts takes full advantage of its bucolic location. We’ll begin on Friday evening with a bonfire in which we’ll make charcoal from grape, willow and aspen branches. Saturday’s classes will include short and long poses from life, the figure in the landscape, and figurative narrative. Sunday morning we will work with colour in a range of materials including egg-tempera and dry pigment made from local vegetation. Group meals, exploring the Centre’s extensive grounds and a Saturday evening film screening round out an immersive drawing weekend.
You can choose to stay in our heated bunkhouse dorm cabins or commute. Register below.
