La Ronde is an artistic experiment involving 6 artists in artistic conversation throughout the summer. First up was Sara Hartland-Rowe and now we are watching Michael Fernandes and Michael Eddy work their magic, inspired by Sara’s work. Opening this Saturday at 5 pm. Click here to find out more.
Ross Creek reaching out into the community
We were honoured to work with over 125 new Canadians, mostly refugees from Syria, Iraq, Burundi, Afghanistan and other conflict zones. Ross Creek staff and volunteers provided free art workshops for whole families at the ISANS offices in Halifax. We followed this with a Community Welcome Day which was a huge success! On Sunday, May 15, from 1-7, we welcomed over 100 refugee families for potluck supper, nature walks, art activities throughout the day, pumpkin planting, with live music, performance, storytelling and friendship.
These programs and others are just some of the ways that Ross Creek fulfills its mission of giving voice to Canadians through the arts. We are proud to connect with diverse members of our community and help them express themselves creativity. You can help us make this work happen by contributing money and/or time.
School and Group programs
NEW – Overnight programs for Schools and Groups! We offer experiences like no other for school groups and others to have a day or longer at Ross Creek. With four heated bunkhouses and great art projects in an incredible landscape, great prepared food if needed and a chance to get a new perspective, Ross Creek is open for you. See some images from a recent school field trip where kids made art from and on the land! Click here to book your group!
